Senior Network Engineer

INSA Integra Corp. is an Ottawa and Toronto based network security services and consulting firm located in the Byward Market. We design, deploy, and support secure enterprise networking solutions for public sector and commercial clients. We operate in a multi-vendor environment and deliver end-to-end services from architecture and implementation through troubleshooting, optimization, and managed support.

This is a full-time, on-site role in downtown Ottawa. The Network Engineer will lead the design, deployment, and operations of secure network and security solutions across complex customer environments. You will own projects from discovery and architecture through implementation, documentation, and steady-state support. You will work closely with internal teams and client stakeholders to deliver resilient, scalable, and secure connectivity.

Core responsibilities include:

• Designing and deploying security and networking solutions across enterprise environments

• Leading hands-on troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex issues

• Implementing and operating cloud networking capabilities, including SD-WAN and SASE architectures

• Deploying and supporting security platforms and integrations across a multi-vendor stack

• Creating implementation plans, configuration standards, and as-built documentation

• Optimizing performance, availability, and security posture across client networks

Technologies may include: Palo Alto Networks, Check Point, Aruba, Cisco, Netskope, Extreme Networks, Zscaler, and Fortinet.

Compensation: CAD $120,000 to $140,000 per year, plus benefits

• 5+ years of hands-on experience troubleshooting enterprise network and security environments

• Eligible for and willing to obtain Government of Canada security clearance

• Demonstrated experience designing and deploying security solutions end-to-end

• Strong understanding of cloud networking, SD-WAN, and SASE concepts and deployments

• Hands-on experience with one or more of: Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, Cisco, Aruba, Extreme, Zscaler, Netskope

• Strong foundation in routing and switching, VLANs, VPNs, firewall policy, NAC, and network segmentation

• Excellent communication skills. Able to translate technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders

• Strong documentation and operational discipline, including change management and incident response practices

• Certifications such as CCNP, NSE7+, Aruba certifications, or equivalent are an asset

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
